Ranchos Del Socorro (RDS) is a 220-acre organic ranch with many panoramic ocean and mountain view building sites, a beautiful creek, a rambling river bordering the northwestern corner and a mature Teak tree plantation. The property is located in Socorro, Guanacaste, Costa Rica nestled in the hills behind Marbella on the Nicoya peninsula. The value of RDS lies in its location to excellent surf & beaches, accessibility to the international airport, ready to harvest teak wood, beauty, natural resources, and the planned development of Emerald Woods right next door. RDS, is an hour drive from Tamarindo, one of the top tourist destinations in Costa Rica, and within a two-hour drive of Liberia International airport.
The Organic Teak plantation covers about 25 acres and will be ready for harvest in 2017. They are projected to be worth $500,000 to $1.5 million based on the quality and quantity produced. China has been engaging in trade relations with Costa Rica for natural resources and teak wood prices have been rising each and every year since these trees were planted.
Ranchos Del Soccoro has currently been subdivided into two pieces. Lot A is 181 acres with all of the teak trees and contains the highest ocean and mountain view peaks. Lot B is 39-acres with some ocean and many mountain view sites, and a 7.5 acre, 15 year pochote tree (a costa rican hardwood) plantation. Lot A has one and a half kilometers of public road frontage and Lot B has one kilometer. All land boarding public road is zoned commercial. Commercial zoning gives the owner the legal right to run a business, develop a higher density of buildings on the property, if desired. All lots are included in this offering.
