This is where WSL pro surfer Griffin Colapinto took his first surf trip with the family. We enjoyed being able to walk to the world class beach break of Playa Hermosa or taking a boat out to another epic wave 10 minutes from the house at the Los Suenos Harbor & Resort. You can pack a cooler and get dropped off at a secluded beach with no one around. The family enjoyed going to fine restaurants at night and adventuring on all the great tours/ zip line/ national park 30 min away.

This is an income producing property with the villa being rented while the owners are not there. Great for all families. Super fun waves to learn on in Jaco, 5 minutes away or really good waves for advanced surfers right out front of Hermosa. Walking distance to empty beaches / waves. Cool vibe at the resort. Breakfast made daily by the hotel, maid service, beautiful pool. Fun to have private house but still meet other travelers at the hotel. 8 cabinas on property. Fun to go down with friends; people can rent their own cabinas and use the house for the main hangout. Full kitchen for cooking.

Neighborhood

Surfing – ½ mile (10 minute walk)

The Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge (Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Playa Hermosa) turtle nesting area where Olive Ridley sea turtles come ashore to nest every year ­ 1 mile (1.6km)

Sport fishing from the Los Suenos Marina a chance to catch a Sailfish or Marlin or even a Giant Roosterfish – 20 minutes drive.

Rainforest Aerial Tram and Serpentarium – 20 minutes drive.

The Carara Biological Reserve (Reserva Biologica Carara). With several miles of trails open to visitors (some only with a tour group), it is a great place to view much of Costa Rica’s wildlife. Early morning or around sunset is often the best time to see the flight of scarlet macaws that rest among the mangroves. It is also possible to see beautiful white-faced Capuchin monkeys and others.
