Cornwall's premier reef break, a hollow right that barrels beside the harbour wall. Porthleven is an advanced-level right-hand reef break in England, delivering world-class waves for experienced surfers and confident chargers. It is most consistent from September to April (autumn and winter). Best on a mid-to-high tide. Breaks over shallow coral or rock reef — booties are recommended and mind the take-off zone.
