G4's Surf Spot

G4, commonly called G4's, is a lesser-known left-hand reef break in the North Sipora surf zone. Often overshadowed by Telescopes and Icelands, G4 offers fast, peeling walls over a relatively forgiving reef, making it an appealing option for surfers seeking high-performance waves away from the region's busiest lineups.

The wave is characterized by its speed and clean, racing sections, offering excellent opportunities for carving turns, rail surfing, and linking maneuvers. G4 can work across a wide range of swell sizes, although larger swells generally produce more exciting conditions.

Its proximity to several of the Mentawais' most famous breaks makes G4 an excellent alternative when conditions are less favorable elsewhere. The combination of warm tropical water, beautiful island scenery, and relatively uncrowded surf adds to its appeal.
