About This Break
Lagide (Lagido) is one of the few reef breaks around Peniche, on the bay between the town and the Baleal isthmus. It produces long, mellow left-handers with plenty of room for turns, making it a favourite for goofy-footers and improving surfers who have outgrown the beach breaks.
It works on the same north-westerly swells as Baleal and is best from mid to high tide. Supertubos, Molhe Leste and Consolação are a few minutes away when the wind or swell shifts.
