The Surf

Supertubos

One of the most famous beachbreaks in the world and for a good reason. When the swell comes from the south, Supertubos turns into a tube machine. Every year in October Supertubos is the arena where the world`s best surfers battle it out at the Rip Curl Portugal Pro: don`t miss the action.

Consolação

Consolação is known for it`s long rippable righthanders that break off the point and the amount of swell size it can handle. But on the northern side of the point is a less known, hollower left that can offer a crowd-free session for goofy footers.

Areia Branca

A small coastal village, just to the south of Pôr do Sol, that sleeps for the biggest part of the year, but comes alive in the summer months. The surf is nothing spectacular, but the long beach that stretches all the way south to Santa Cruz craves for surf exploration.

Molhe Leste

Just south of Peniche, but north of the famous surf spot Supertubos, is another quality wave called Molhe Leste. This is a powerful right point break that can offer great barrels. It breaks off a jetty and is sheltered from the northern winds and swell. Thanks to its sandy bottom, Molhe Leste can be good for less experienced surfers on the small days. When bigger, it’s only for advanced surfers.
