Molhe Leste, Peniche, Portugal
About This Break
Molhe Leste — the "east jetty" — is the right-hand wave that peels along the harbour breakwater in Peniche, Portugal, a short walk from Supertubos on the south side of the peninsula.
It only switches on when a big north-westerly winter swell wraps around the Peniche peninsula and bends off the harbour wall, but then it produces some of the best right-hand barrels in the region, peeling parallel to the jetty. With the other Peniche spots maxing out, it is where the local crowd heads.
Molhe Leste is one of the Peniche surf spots that make the town the most reliable surf base in Europe — Supertubos, Baleal, Lagide and Consolação are all within a few minutes' drive. Browse surf property for sale near Peniche on International Surf Properties.
