Surfing – ½ mile

The beach break at Playa Hermosa has an ample amount of power and sees good left and right peaks. Boca Baranca is a smoking river mouth lefthander, while Escondido is a solid reef break with fun left and right barrels. Your guide will know exactly where to go and he will put you on the best waves according to the current conditions and your ability level.

The Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge (Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Playa Hermosa) turtle nesting area where Olive Ridley sea turtles come ashore to nest every year ­ 1 mile (1.6km)

Early morning or around sunset is often the best time to see the flight of scarlet macaws that rest among the mangroves. It is also possible to see beautiful white-faced Capuchin monkeys and others.
