Tamarindo

Tamarindo, Costa Rica has a variety of surf spots for all levels, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers:

• Tamarindo Beach Break ~ A great spot for beginners with small, manageable waves that break close to shore. The sandy bottom makes wipeouts less risky, and the wave face is not too vertical.  
• Henry’s Right ~ A right hander that offers a quick barrel takeoff and a walled up line for wrapping turns. It turns on with a solid NW swell.  
• Reef break ~ A very powerful reef break with some nice pipes that is suitable for experienced surfers.
