About This Break
San Bartolo – Izquierditas is the left-hand side of the classic Playa Norte surf zone in San Bartolo, roughly 50 km south of Lima. The break forms along the left side of the pier and offers a smooth, maneuverable left-hand wall over a rocky reef. Olas Perú describes the wave as a regional-class point break with relatively gentle power and rides around 60 meters, while other surf databases report good-day rides extending toward 150 meters. It’s approachable enough for developing surfers when small, yet still offers plenty of room for experienced surfers to draw clean lines and work on turns.

Rocky bottom and sea urchins. Watch your footing when entering and exiting, and respect the established lineup when it's busy. The preferred access is from the left side of the Playa Norte pier. Water temperatures fluctuate seasonally; local guidance recommends lighter wetsuit protection in summer and a full suit during the cooler winter period.
