Claptons Coil

Claptons Coil  in Jeffreys Bay Coast is an exposed point break that has inconsistent surf. Summer in particular tends to be flat. The best wind direction is from the northwest. Clean groundswells prevail and the ideal swell direction is from the east.Surfers ride left hand point. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Hazards include sharks and rocks.
