Punta Conejo

Punta Conejo is one of the signature waves of the Salina Cruz point-break corridor: an exceptionally long, sand-bottom right-hand point break famous for machine-like walls, multiple carving sections and occasional inside barrels. It is one of the most dependable and fun waves in Salina Cruz, where ten-turn rides are realistic and the right sand configuration can produce dredging tubes on the inside.

Unlike a reef point, the quality of Conejo is closely tied to its sand bank. When a large, long-period southern groundswell wraps around the point, the wave can peel for hundreds of meters. Older WannaSurf documentation reports normal rides of 150–300 m and good-day rides of 300–500 m.
