About This Break
La Boca is the rivermouth sandbar / beach break at the northern end of Playa Majahua, just north of Troncones on Guerrero's Costa Grande. The wave forms in front of the lagoon/river mouth, where sediment deposited by the estuary creates shifting sandbars capable of producing both lefts and rights. The peak is located in front of the small lagoon and is a fun sandbar wave.
La Boca is distinct from the more general peaks scattered along Playa Majahua. The rivermouth concentrates the banks and can produce longer, better-defined walls, with normal rides around 50–150 meters and potentially 150–300 meters on a good day.
